Biographical Information: Gerry and his late wife, Linda, had lived in the Monticello, Indiana, community for several years. He was a graduate of the Warren Central High School and went onto graduate from the University of Indianapolis with degrees in English and Business. Gerry also was a graduate of the Christian Theological Seminary. He was then drafted and served in the U.S. Army in Okinawa for two years. Gerry had served as Pastor in the Chalmers Community Church from 1960 to 1968. He then moved to Hudson, Iowa where he served as the Pastor of the Community Church of Hudson for 27 years from 1968 to 1995. He then served in several churches within White and Carroll Counties, preaching his last sermon in July of 2012 at the Rockfield Presbyterian Church. Gerry was a former member of the Hudson Lions Club and the Monticello Kiwanis Club. He also served on the board of directors for the Home Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, the Town Council of Hudson, Iowa, and president of the White County Council for Special Needs Children (which is now governed by the CDC Board).

Marriage Information: On June 13, 1953, in Portsmith, Ohio, he married Lyndell L. "Linda" Locke. She passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013.
