Biographical Information: Don attended Carson Grade School in rural Carroll County, and Monticello Public Schools, now known as Twin Lakes High School in Monticello, Indiana. He excelled in the sports of basketball, football, and track. Don was drafted into the United States Army in 1946, where he was sent for specialized training in surveying. After graduation, he was sent to the Philippine Islands where he served until his discharge. Don spent his working career as a farmer in Jefferson Township (Carroll County), Indiana, of which he took great pride. During this time, he served two (2) terms as Township Trustee of Jefferson Township (Carroll County), Indiana, and two (2) terms on the Board of School Trustees of the Twin Lakes School Corporation. Mr. Roach and his wife, Mary, spent the last thirty (30) years wintering in Fruitland Park, Florida, where he made many lasting friends. He attended the Idaville First Church of God of Idaville, Indiana, and the Northside Christian Church of Fruitland Park, Florida.

Marriage Information: On November 3, 1945, at the First Church of God of Idaville, Indiana, he married Mary Ellen Lemon. She survives.
