Visitation will be: 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana, with a First Presbyterian Church Prayer Circle to be announced.
Biographical Information: Bob had lived in Indiana for the past 51 years, residing in Monticello for the last 27 years. He was a 1952 graduate of the Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Georgia. Bob then went on to the United States Air Force where he received numerous training finishing with a Master Mechanical Degree. Bob Retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service in the military as a Master Crew Chief. After retiring from the Air Force Bob went to work at Wilson Foods of Logansport, Indiana as an Electrical Engineer retiring there after 18 1/2 years of service. He then went back to work at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana from 1993 to 2000 as a Bio-Engineer. Bob loved hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was an avid outdoorsmen.
Special Services: Full Military Rites conducted by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard will follow services at the funeral home on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the funeral home.
Memorial Information: may be given to the American Parkinson Disease Association (Midwest Chapter), envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On July 3, 1986 in the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, Indiana he married Verma L. "Vel" (Steely) Hargitt. She survives.
