Visitation will be: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (EDT) and 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m. (EDT), Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello.
Biographical Information: John had lived in the Monticello area since 1997, coming from Hammond, Indiana, where he had lived for forty-three (43) years. He was a 1957 graduate of Hammond Tech High School of Hammond, Indiana. John was an electrician/motor inspector for Inland Steel of East Chicago, Indiana, for thrity-three (33) years, retiring in July of 1997. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era. John had served from July of 1958 to May of 1962
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Honor Guard of the American Legion, VFW, and AmVets Post, all of Monticello, will be conducted 6:00 p.m., (EDT) at the funeral home.
Memorial Information: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the wishes of the donor. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On March 23, 1970, in East Chicago, Indiana, he married Janice C. Bennett. She died Tuesday, September 13, 2011.
