Biographical Information: Ted had lived in Reynolds, Indiana, most all of his life and was a proud gratduate of Reynolds High School, Class of 1947. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy and attended Great Lakes Naval Academy. He began his twenty (20) years of service aboard the USS Mississippi. His last tour of duty was with the ROTC Program at Purdue University. He retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. He then worked for the work study program and the Elliott Hall of Music at Purdue University. He was also the co-owner of Westfalls Market in Reynolds, Indiana with his sons Ted and Gordon. Ted loved spending time with his family, watching the grandchildren grow up, then visits from the great grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling and keeping in touch with his navy buddies. Ted enjoyed playing cards and watching TV Land. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and was also a life member of the VFW Post #1106, both of Reynolds, Indiana. Ted loved going to the Blue Chip Boat in Michigan City, Indiana.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Honor Guard of the American Legion, VFW, and AmVets Post all of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.
Memorial Information: In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be given to the United Methodist Church, or the Burdell Salomon Sports Complex, both of Reynolds, Indiana. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On July 18, 1953, in Bothell, Washington, he married Joyce A. Dunning. She survives.

Nine (9) Great Grandchildren;

Several Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.
