Visitation will be: 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church, 104 N. Illinois Street, Monticello, Indiana 47960, and one (1) hour prior to the service on Friday, August 17, 2007 also at the church.
Biographical Information: Steve had lived in the Reynolds, Indiana community for the last (18) Eighteen years of his life, and was a 1975 graduate of North White High School in Monon, Indiana. He also graduated from Purdue University in 1979 with a B.A. Degree in AgEconomics. Steve had a short battle with leukemia. He was a member and past chairman of the Indiana Risk Coordinator Group, chairman of the Enviromental Regulator Committee for the AgriBusiness Council of Indiana, Reynolds, Indiana Town and Park Board, and chairman of the White County LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Committee ) had previously been on the board of Directors for the Northwest Waste District. Steve was a Co-Author of many Purdue Pesticide Publications for Purdue Extension Service, as well as being a key speaker for the group. He was employed at Excel Co-op, Inc. and did extensive work with Starke County Co-op, Fulton-Marshall Co-op, Agrokey, Wolcott Grain, and many other Cooperatives through out the years. Steve enjoyed his second home town of Clearwater, Florida, fishing, an avid Purdue Boilermaker and Tampa Bay Buccaneer Fan, watching Nascar racing especially Tony Stewart, traveling, and grilling out. He also enjoyed coaching baseball, basketball, and volunteered to teach through the Junior Achivement Program at North White High School.

Marriage Information: On September 20, 1981 at the Reynolds United Methodist Church He married Julie A. Westfall. She survives.
