Biographical Information: Dorothy was born and raised on the family farm in rural Reynolds, Indiana and was a 1943 graduate of Reynolds High School of Reynolds, Indiana. She grew up to care for and help family and friends. Dorothy loved to read, garden, sew and cook. She made and sold toys to gift shops and friends. Dorothy sold little dolls to Marshall Fields for several years. Then made and sold Laura Ingalls dolls to be sold with the Little House on The Prairie Books, selling them to gift shops in Mansfield, Missouri and some went to Europe. She also dressed antique dolls. Dorothy had attended the Guernsey Church of the Brethren in rural White County, Indiana.
