Biographical Information: Evelyn went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at the Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, surrounded by her family. She retired from many years as an employee of the old RCA Factory as well as the former Monticello Cleaners, both of Monticello, Indiana. Evelyn was a very dedicated church member of the former Calvary Baptist of Monticello, Indiana, and was currently a member of the Sitka Baptist Church of rural Monticello, Indiana, which she loved very much. She was a great friend, an even more amazing mother, as well as a fabulous grandmother and great grandmother. Her family describes her as the rock that held their family together, always being there for guidance, or a hug in hard times. Evelyn will forever be missed and loved by all that she came in contact with.

Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the Sitka Baptist Church of Monticello (rural White County), Indiana. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On August 6, 1954, in Delphi, Indiana, she married her beloved husband of sixty - two years, George F. Tharp; he survives.
