Visitation will be: Rosary Service will be at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana, followed by a visitation until 8:00 p.m.
Biographical Information: Fred had lived in the Reynolds, Indiana, area most all of his life and was a 1949 graduate of the Reynolds High School in Reynolds, Indiana. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Fred was an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, and had taught CCD Classes. He had farmed for years, and also worked at the Duncan Meter Company, owned and operated a Livestock Hauling business, worked for Bossung Standard Oil Company, and was a route Salesman for the Schwans Ice Cream Company for over twenty (20) years. Fred was a member of the NFO (National Farmers Organization), and was a charter member of the White County Chapter. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Wabash, a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Board, and served on the Reynolds Town Board for seven (7) years. He was also active and coached Babe Ruth and Little League Baseball throughout the years. Fred was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
Special Services: Rosary services will be held on Sunday, at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Full Military Rites will be conducted Monday, following the mass by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the St. Elizabeth Hospice Program or to the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On November 20, 1954 in the St. Mary Cathedral of Lafayette, Indiana he married Patricia J. "Pat" Meyers. She survives.
