Biographical Information: It would have been six years ago this April she was diagnosed with a rare form of sarcoma and only given six months to live. Cheryl was determined to prove the doctors wrong and be around long enough that her grandchildren would remember their Nana. That she did, enduring those years with the pain that comes with cancer. Her grandchildren kept her going to live each day to the fullest and enjoy each moment she spent with them. Cheryl attended Tri-County School of rural Wolcott, Indiana. She grew up in Wolcott and raised her children in the Wolcott, Indiana, area. Her most important job was staying at home raising her children and taking care of her late husband, Tim. She started working at the Wolcott House of Wolcott, Indiana, in 2006. She put her heart and soul into making the Wolcott House special for all the holidays and events that were held in the house. Cheryl was a talented decorator and loved making the house beautiful for Christmas. When her cancer made it impossible for her to work, her daughters and husband took over for her. As sick as she was, she made sure everything was in order for all the events. Cheryl was with Guardian Angel Hospice for five years. Cheryl’s family members are grateful for the superior care that was provided for her. We are blessed to have known such caring, loving nurses, and Chaplain Tom during this difficult time.
