Biographical Information: Cecil Melvin Dodson, 79 years old, of Reynolds, Indiana, (formerly of Danville, Illinois) passed away due to complications of Covid 19 on January 5, 2022. He was born on January 17, 1942, to the late Cecil Marion and Ercel (Smith) Dodson in Danville, Illinois. He graduated from Bismarck-Henning High School. He was a past member of Western Riders and Merry Riders, where he rode, roped, and did the trails out at Kennekuk Cove County Park. In his later years, he was a member of the Boot Kickers. He was twenty - three year member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Illinois. He believed in supporting and being a part of his community. He was a member of the Monon Community Assembly of God of Monticello, Indiana. He shared many stories of his days in the Danville, Illinois, area with his family and friends. He treasured these times as being some of his greatest memories. Cecil loved riding his horses, fishing, gardening, antique cars, and serving his community. He was a talented craftsman and a very hard worker. He retired from Heatcraft (formerly known as Bohn Heat Transfer). He was a loyal friend, who will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
