Biographical Information: Bill had lived in the Monticello, Indiana, area most of his life and was a 1947 graduate of Roosevelt High School of Monticello, Indiana. He was a United States Army and Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Bill retired from the United States Air Force in 1980. He was a member of the American Legion Post #81 of Monticello, Indiana, and was a reserve officer with the association department of Indiana and had served as president in 1978. Bill was a former member of the Monticello Christian Church of Monticello, Indiana. He was also a former member and chief of the Monticello Volunteer Fire Department of Monticello, Indiana, for twenty years. Bill worked/owned at the former Monticello Machine Shop of Monticello, Indiana, until 1975. Bill worked extremely hard in his yard keeping it beautiful and very well- manicured!!!! He also enjoyed snow blowing all the neighbors’ sidewalks (whether they liked it or not)!!!
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in rural Monticello, Indiana.

Marriage Information: He was first married to Gwendolyn Banks; then he married Janie Ross; they are both deceased. Then on June 14, 1975, in Monticello, Indiana, he married Mary Ann (Harvey) Gustin; she passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
