Visitation will be: 12:00 (noon) until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.
Biographical Information: Herman was a 1958 graduate of Medaryville High School of Medaryville, Indiana. He had lived in the Monticello, Indiana, area most all his life. Herman had worked and retired as a mechanic for the former Howard and Sons John Deere of Monticello, Indiana, after working from January of 1989 until his retirement in May of 2008. He had farmed for over twenty – eight years prior to going to work at Howard and Sons. Herman was an active member of the Monticello United Methodist Church of Monticello, Indiana. He also belonged to the Medaryville Lions Club of Medaryville, Indiana, and was a fifty-year member of the Royal Center Masonic Lodge #585 F.&A.M of Royal Center, Indiana. Herman was an avid Notre Dame University fan, train enthusiast, and loved to ride motorcycles. Back in the day when it was cool, he enjoyed country line dancing. Herman also liked to travel when he was able.
Special Services: Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Royal Center Masonic Lodge #585 F. A.M. of Roydal Center, Indiana, at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2021.
Memorial Information: in Lieu of flowers memorals may be given to Franciscan Hospice Care, Creasy Springs Legacy Unit both of Lafayette, or the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and or can be mailed to 6368 E. US 24, Monticello, IN 47960.
