Biographical Information: Merle was a 1933 graduate of the Burnettsville High School,in Burnettsville, Indiana and attended the Eastlawn United Methodist Church in Idaville, Indiana. He was a member of the Winamac Masonic Lodge, a life member of ATA (American Trap Association) in Vandellia, Ohio, the Twin Lakes Senior Citizens Club, AARP Chapter #3244 in Monticello, and served as a legislative chairman. He was also the chairman of Indiana Beach Boat Trip, and Burnettsville Breakfast Club of Burnettsville, Indiana. Merle was very active in his condo association in Bradenton, Florida. He was a WWII Army Veteran, and was presented with the Silver Star for his efforts. Merle enjoyed shooting trap and working with computers. He worked constructions for thirty - two (32) years for McMahon - O'Connor Construction which was located in Rochester, Indiana.
Special Services: Full Military Rites will be conducted at the cemetery.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the Serenity Hospice Program of Lafayette, Indiana. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On September 29, 1939 in Delphi, Indiana he married Helen M. Clark. She died Saturday, August 18, 2007.
