Biographical Information: Donald Leroy Dill, 91, Monticello, passed away peacefully on September 21 at White Oak Health Campus. Don was born August 12, 1926 in Waynetown, IN to the late Oscar and Sara (Froedge) Dill. He attended school at West Point, IN. On June 15, 1946 he married Della Timmons in Lafayette, IN. After several years of farming near Idaville, including a number of years driving school bus, he and Della moved to Monticello in 1969. Don then drove a Farm Bureau gas truck for 21 years, delivering fuel until retiring in 1990. Since 1954, he was a member of the Hickory Grove Church in rural Carroll County. He was a local food pantry volunteer and nursing home volunteer. Don was a Masonic Lodge member since 1953 and he and Della belonged to the Good Sam Camping Club. Surviving are his sons Wayne (Elaine) Dill, Huntingburg, IN; and Ray (Sue) Dill, Holland, MI; daughter-in-law Rose Dill, Delphi, IN; grandchildren Jennifer Dill, Pegram, TN; Angela Dill, Lansing, MI; Aubree (Zack) Keys, Denver, CO; Justin (Cindy) Dill, Grandville, MI; Morgan Dill, Berkeley, CA; great-grandchildren Jonas Keys, Johanna Keys, Bryce Dill, and Warren Dill; sisters Deloris Czech, Crown Point, IN; Pat (Ben) Fisher, Wabash, IN; Lydia (Scott) Jones, Lebanon, IN; brother Eugene (Barb) Allison, West Lafayette, IN; and good friend Bob Tobey, Monticello, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife Della; son Jerry; grandson Michael; and brother Oscar. Don’s family wishes to express immense gratitude and appreciation to White Oak Health Campus, Serenity Hospice, and Pastor Ken Smith and the congregation of Hickory Grove Church for the tender loving care of our dear Father in his final years. Visitation is 3-5pm, September 24 at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, Monticello. Additional visitation from 9-10am, September 25, at Hickory Grove Church, 9714 N 700 W, Delphi, IN. Funeral at 10am at Hickory Grove Church with Pastor Ken Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hickory Grove Church of Delphi, Indiana.
