Burial will take place: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will follow the Celebration of Life Service at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in rural Monticello, Indiana.
Visitation will be: 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2016, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home, and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at the Monticello Christian Church, 105 N. Gordon Road, Monticello, Indiana, 47960.
Biographical Information: Bill had been in failing health for the last several years. He was a 1954 graduate of Monticello High School of Monticello, Indiana. Bill went on to attend Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was a United States Marine Veteran, serving as a "Frogman". Bill had worked as an electrician, then maintenance supervisor at the Monticello Healthcare Center of Monticello, Indiana, for several years. He had also cooked and tended bar at Town and Country. Bill maintained the water at the Indiana Beach Water Park for several years. He spent his retirement years as a bartender at the VFW Post #1106 in Reynolds, Indiana. Bill loved spending time with his grandchildren, sports, NASCAR racing, playing cards, and going out to eat with friends. He was a member of the Christian Church, Libanus Masonic Lodge #154 F. & A.M., Redmanís Lodge Tribe #570, Good Fellows, and American Legion Post #81, all of Monticello, Indiana. Bill was an avid golfer.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in rural Monticello, Indiana.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the Monticello Christian Church, or to the White County Food Pantry. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and at the church.
Marriage Information: On June 19, 1960, at the Buffalo Christian Church in Buffalo, Indiana, he married Marie E. Coonrod; she survives.
