Burial will take place: Graveside Service will be at 3:30 (CST) on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Kingsbury Cemetery in Kingsbury (LaPorte County), Indiana.
Visitation will be: Prayer Circle by the Elders of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, Indiana, will be at 11:00 a.m., followed by visitation to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the First Presbyterian Church, 104 N. Illinois Street, Monticello, Indiana, 47960.
Biographical Information: Dorathy "Dot" and her late husband, Bill, arrived in Monticello, Indiana after his retirement 30 + years ago. She was born and raised in the Monticello area. Dorathy was a graduate of the Methodist Hospital Nursing Program. She then married the late Bill Craft. His job took them to 13 different towns and cities in 4 different states. Dorathy had worked in many different nursing positions throughout the years and she enjoyed them all. She graduated with a Bachelors of Art degree in education from Buena Vista College in Strom Lake, Iowa. Dorathy then retired from nursing and started substitute teaching for the Twin Lakes School Corporation. She worked in the elementary, middle school and high school levels. She particularly enjoyed the younger children. Dorathy was a member of the Monticello Presbyterian Church and belonged to the Presbyterian Women’s Group. She also was a prior member of the P.E.O. Women’s Organization for many many years.
Special Services: Prayer Circle by the Elders of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, Indiana, will be at 11 a.m.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church or to the White County Food Pantry, both of Monticello, Indiana. Envelopes will be available at the church.
Marriage Information: On January 15, 1949, in Monticello, Indiana, she married William W."Bill" Craft; he passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015.
