Biographical Information: He married Marjorie Ivalee Price on June 19, 1949, who survives. Their 67 year marriage blessed them with ten (10) children, sixteen (16) grandchildren, and thirty - six (36)great-grandchildren. They were loving foster parents to almost 200 children, sometimes six at a time, for several years while living in DeMotte. Don and Marge owned Patterson Trucking in DeMotte, Indiana, before “retiring to the lake” where he worked for John Freeman maintaining a nursing home among other properties, worked for the Moseley Farm, and part-time at Ace Hardware of Monticello, Indiana. He had work ethic like no other, yet he always found time to drive his boat teaching his grandchildren how to water-ski. He loved to go camping with his large, extended family and never forgot to bring the Italian Beef and hot peppers!
