Biographical Information: Ruth was a 1945 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School of Lafayette, Indiana. , and resided in Lafayette, Indiana, until the time of her marriage. After her marriage, she resided in Smithson, White County, then in Reynolds, Indiana, until the of her death. Ruth worked in the Engineering Department at TRW - Ross Gear, Lafayette, Indiana Division for thirty - four (34) years, retiring in 1989. Her last position held was specification specialist. Ruth was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church of Reynolds, Indiana. She was a former member of the Four Seasons Square Dance Club. Ruth also belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #347 of Lafayette, Indiana, Women of the Moose Chapter #153, Twin Lakes Senior Bowling, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #81, all of Monticello, Indiana. "Ruthie" stayed active right up until the time of her recent illness, and enjoyed life to the fullest. She square danced, bowled and volunteered at the White County Food Pantry until her health would no longer permit. She had enjoyed wintering in Texas in the past. Ruthie loved playing cards and participating in many card clubs. She enjoyed attending many travel company trips and tours with her friends.

Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the St. James Lutheran Church Child Care of Reynolds, Indiana, or to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the church.
Marriage Information: On September 24, 1949, in Lafayette, Indiana, she married J. Ray Werner; he passed away on January 22, 1994.

Sister-in-law, who she had also been a help mate to,
Charlotte Kraud of Monticello (formerly of Reynolds), Indiana;

Dale (wife Jackie) Dexter, both of Lafayette, Indiana;

Several Great Nieces and Great Nephews, that all loved their Aunt Ruthie.
