Visitation will be: 12:00 (noon) to 2:30 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2021, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.
Biographical Information: Herb had lived in the Chalmers, Indiana, area most all of his life. He was a United States Air Force Veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. Herb had worked at the old Sears Store of Logansport, Indiana, as a repairman for several years and then he went to work with his brother-in-law, Ronnie Doyle, in their television repair shop of Monticello, Indiana. He had also worked at the CDC (Comprehensive Development Center) of Monticello, Indiana, for several years and then went on to work at Purdue University of West Lafayette, Indiana, where he retired. Herb was a member of the American Legion Post #81 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2570, both of Monticello, Indiana. He loved and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his cold beverages. When Herb was younger his sibling used to love and tease him and call him “Little Eddie” and that would make him so so so mad!!!!! Most of all, Herb loved spending time with all of his family and always had a story to tell!!!!!!
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in rural Monticello, Indiana.
