Burial will take place: Bedford Cemetery in rural Monon, Indiana.
Visitation will be: 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.
Biographical Information: Dorothy had been in failing health for the last several years and losing her daughter, Sharon Hartwell, on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, took a major toll on Dorothy’s life. Her family did everything in their earthly powers to take such great and amazing care of their mom. She was born, raised, and lived her adult life in Oakdale, Louisiana, before moving to the Monon, Indiana, area where she had lived most all the rest of her life. Dorothy had moved into the White Oak Health Campus of Monticello, Indiana, over nine years ago and was a pillar and resident ambassador of the health campus. She was always known for working on her jig – saw puzzle and flowers at the health campus. Dorothy was very active in the Monon community and was honored to be nominated as volunteer of the year of Monon in 1997 and was the Grand Marshall of the Christmas Parade in 1999. She won volunteer of the Year of White County in 1997. Dorothy was a member of the Monon Chamber of Commerce, Monon Chamber of Commerce, a member of the former Ladies Auxiliary of Eagles Lodge #2788 and Tri – Kappa and belonged to the Town and County Home Ec. Club, all of Monon, Indiana. She served on the Board of Directors of the Monon Civic Preservation Civic Center of Monon, Indiana, and the White County Council of Aging of Monticello, Indiana. Dorothy and her late husband, Lee, organized the first White County Expo for Special Persons and continued that for eighteen years. She volunteered on the Monon Senior Citizens Nutrition Site, Monon Food Pantry, Food Share Programs and helped at North White School in Kindergarten and Reading Grandparents Program, all of Monon, Indiana. Dorothy helped with the Monon Lions Club steak and pork chop suppers for several years. She made the most amazing sun tea. When you drank it, it was like getting a taste of both hot and cold at the same time. Dorothy played pool (billiards) for Gibb’s in the Tri – County Women’s Pool League. Dorothy enjoyed life and enjoyed people. She enjoyed living in Monon and always said that “Monon was a wonderful town with wonderful people.”

Marriage Information: On February 22, 1957, in Oakdale, Louisiana, she married Lee Wayne Reinholt; he passed away on January 26, 1993.
