Biographical Information: Bob had lived in Brookston, Indiana, for forty years, Lafayette, Indiana, for twenty - five years, and Monticello, Indiana, for twenty - five years. He was a 1949 graduate of Brookston High School of Brookston, Indiana. Bob had worked for the Purdue University Fire Department for twenty - seven years, retiring as Lieutenant in 1990. He was a United States Korean Conflict Army Veteran, serving in Germany Bob was a member of the Christian Church of Monticello, Indiana, and sixty - three year member of the American Legion Post of Lafayette, Indiana. He was the kindest, caring, most loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa. He provided for all of his family.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, with playing of taps by his grandson, Kyle Pierce will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.
