Biographical Information: John was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Army serving from 1956 till 1959. John had lived in Hannon, Southaven, and the Monticello, Indiana, areas over the years. He retired from driving School Bus for the Tippecanoe School Corporation after several years. John was a member of the Monticello American Legion Post #81, and was an active Deacon with the Crossroads Church, both of Monticello, Indiana. His wife, JoAnn stated that she and John were introduced by a friend, and have been inseparable ever since. John loved traveling and showing his family the amazing United States. He also enjoyed taking the boat out and fishing with his wife, that is something they did often. He was admired by many for the person he was and he never knew a stranger.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted here at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana, starting at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2020.
