Biographical Information:
Patsy L. "Pat" Anderson, 65, of Buffalo, passed away at 5:30 p.m., Monday, October 12, 2020, at the Franciscan Health St. Elizabeth East Hospital of Lafayette. She was born on Wednesday, May 11, 1955, in Winamac to the late Philip W. and Virginia M. (Hickman) McCombs. On April 9, 1983, at the Buffalo Christian Church in Buffalo she married the love of her life Michael “Mike” Anderson; he survives. Patsy had lived in the Buffalo area all her life and was a 1973 graduate of North White High School of Monon, Indiana, and went on to attend and graduate from Purdue University in West Lafayette. She was the nicest, kindest, most caring person, and would do anything for anybody and everybody. Patsy was an active member of the Buffalo Christian Church of Buffalo, Indiana, and played the piano at the church for over forty years. She served for years teaching the ladies bible study, and taught high school and junior high school youth group for several years. Patsy loved being the Cafe Lady at WNS for Wednesday Night Study at the church. Everyone loved her Patsy cakes, and she made each one with love and care. Patsy served on the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary for thirty years. Patsy was a fireman’s daughter, a fireman’s wife, a fireman’s mother, and a fireman’s sister. She loved and served her community whenever there was a need. Patsy was a very supportive and loving mother to her children and guided them to know the Lord as they grew into their adulthood. She had a passion to make sure that everyone who knew her, knew the Lord. Surviving are husband, Michael "Mike" Anderson of Buffalo; two children, Krystal (husband Kyle) Gerlach of Kewanna, and Kyle “KW” (wife Becca) Anderson of Buffalo; three granddaughters, Hadlie Rose and Rylie Kate Anderson, and Brynley Gerlach; two siblings, Peggy (husband Doug) Kammerer, and Douglas “Doug” (wife Chris) McCombs, both of Buffalo; brother-n-law, Donnie Anderson of Buffalo; step – mother-in-law, Anna Marie Anderson of Rossville; two aunts, Nellie R. Crosby, and Sandy Anderson, both of Buffalo; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends that all LOVED her very much.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Philip W. and Virginia M. (Hickman) McCombs; two infant sisters, Debra, and Pamela McCombs; and father and mother-in-law, Don F. and Janice S. “Jan” (Fry) Anderson. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2020, at the Buffalo Christian Church of Buffalo and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2020, also at the Buffalo Christian Church. Celebration of Life Service will be at the church at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2020, with Kyle Zarse officiating. Burial will follow at the Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo. Memorials may be given to the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department, Buffalo Christian Church, or the wishes of the donor.
