Biographical Information: Martha C. DeKoster – Craig, 89, of Monticello (formerly of Elkhart), passed away at 10:05 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at the Monticello Healthcare Center of Monticello. She was born on Tuesday, January 20, 1931, in Delft, Netherlands, to the late Jan Willem and Aagje (Berg) Hoogendoorn. On July 25, 1975, in Elkhart she married Robert R. “Bob” Craig; he passed away on July 12, 2004. Martha was born, raised, and lived in Delft, Netherlands for over thirty years, Elkhart for over fifty years, and Monticello for the last two years. She was an active member of the Belmont Mennonite Church of Elkhart. Martha had worked at DeBonie Bakery and the Miles /Bayer Laboratory cafeteria, both of Elkhart. Surviving are son, Jimmy "Jim" (wife Bonnie) DeKoster of Monticello; daughter, Mary (husband Joseph “Joe”) Froelich of West Melbourne, Florida; step – daughter, Tammie (husband Todd) Blevins of Indianapolis; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; fourteen great great grandchildren; brother, Wilm (wife Fenn) Hoogendoorn of the Netherlands; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews, cousins, and friends. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Jan Willem and Aagje (Berg) Hooggendoorn; husband, Robert R. “Bob” Craig; daughter, Louise Tincher; step – son, Mike Purdy; four siblings, Aad Hoogendoorn, Annie VandeBurg, Ada Van Dijk, and Daan Hoogendoorn; and her dog, Baby. No Visitation or Service are Scheduled at this time. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be at a late date. Miller – Roscka Funeral Home is Honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
