Biographical Information: Joe loved life, his lord and savoir, and reading his bible. He was born in Norway, Indiana and raised in the Monticello, Indiana area. Joe was a graduate of Twin Lakes High School. He helped build the First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School there for about 40 years. Joe served his country in the United States Air Force from November 1951 until October 1953. He returned to work at the Old RCA Plant here in Monticello until its closing. Joe had driven School Bus for 30 plus years for the Twin Lakes School Corporation retiring when his health just would not permit. He enjoyed and loved being outdoors, fishing, mowing, and would watch the humming birds all the time. Joe had a heart of gold and always was a true friend to all. He was a hard working man and would help anyone that he could. Joe was most known for his love for his children in whom he entrusted his honesty and integrity. He will be dearly loved and will forever be missed.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted at the cemetery.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the Guardian Angel Hospice, 513 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, Indiana, 46902. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On April 22, 1955 in Delphi, Indiana, he married Jeanette M. Smith; she passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013.
