Biographical Information: Philly had been battling several brain tumors since 2011. He had lived in the Buffalo, Indiana, area most all of his life and had also lived in Texas while serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Philly was a 1970 graduate of North White High School of Monon, Indiana. He had served as a volunteer fireman with the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department of Buffalo, Indiana. Philly had worked at the former Monon Trailer of Monon, Galbreath Trailer, and Braun Industries of Winamac, Indiana, until he retired in 2004. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed going camping with the horses and hunting. Philly spent many hours on horseback riding trails and loved every minute of it!!!! He trained and drove pulling dream – team that consisted of two halflingers named Smith and Jones. Philly especially loved rabbit hunting with his beagle, Cletus, and his westerns. He had a large collection of his favorite cowboy, John Wayne. Philly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was known as the “popsicle man” to the kids in his neighborhood. Philly had a heart of gold that was undeniable!!!!
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will begin at 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2020, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.

Marriage Information: On March 4, 1972, he married his high school sweetheart, Theresa D. "Terry" Minniear, in Buffalo, Indiana; she survives.
