Biographical Information: Rich was born at home in Chicago, Illinois, in his home by mid-wife Cook County. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. Rich had lived in Chicago, Bridgeview, Orland Park, Chicago Ridge, Illinois, Buffalo and Monticello, Indiana. He had owned restaurant and operated a masonry shop for many years. Rich also worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad for many years. He was a member of Post #1160 Glenn Maker of Memorial, Illinois, where he became known as Santa Claus, filling the position for several years. Rich also belonged to the Fraternal Order Eagles Lodge and AmVets Post #91 both, of Monticello, Indiana. Rich was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted at the funeral home beginning at 3:00 p.m. (EDT), Monday, February 3, 2020.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to Happy Tails in Honor of Chipper, Chip-Chip, and Lucy. Envelopes will be available here at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On January 2, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois, he married Myrna Dee Mann; they divorced August 1970, and she passed away on September 16, 2012.
