Biographical Information: Don was a 1952 graduate of Maumee High School of Maumee, Ohio. Then in 1956, he graduated from Purdue University of West Lafayette, Indiana, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and was commissioned as a Naval Reserve Officer. He served on active duty aboard the USS Glacier in Antarctica on Operation Deep Freeze II. In industry Don, became a registered professional engineer and specialized in the fluid power area. Before retiring, Don, became an assistant professor at Purdue University Teaching Fluid Power in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Don greatly enjoyed his family, the outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemtery in rural Reynolds, Indiana.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the wishes of the Donor. Envelopes will be available at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Reynolds, Indiana
Marriage Information: On June 15, 1957, he married his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth E. "Bette" Heath, in Maumee, Ohio, she passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2011.
