David Leon Armstrong passed away at 6:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at home in Monticello, Indiana, surrounded by his children. He was born on Monday, December 2, 1940, in Washington, Indiana, to the late Jack and Belle Armstrong. He will now be reunited with his wife of 49 years, Carole, whom he married on January 19,1963. She was the love of his life and he made sure everyone knew it, even after her death in 2012. Dave graduated from Washington High School, of Washington, Indiana, in 1958. He worked at U.S. Railway in Washington, Indiana, until 1979. He then went to work at Lox Equipment/Alloy Crafts in Delphi, Indiana, until he retired. Dave enjoyed fishing, mushrooming, and hunting when he was younger. As he grew older he enjoyed playing bingo and the pot luck dinners with his neighbors at the community center in the Monticello Community Apartments of Monticello, Indiana.
