Biographical Information: Jan had been in failing health for the last several months. He was a 1961 graduate of Brookston High School of Brookston, Indiana. Jan had lived in the Reynolds, Indiana, area most all his life. He was a member of the Reynolds United Methodist Church of Reynolds, Indiana. He was also a member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign War) Post #1106 of Reynolds, Indiana, American Legion Post #268 of Chalmers, Indiana, and the Marine Corp League. Jan had served in the United States Marine Corp from 1964 to 1967. He was a semi truck driver most all his life. Jan enjoyed fishing, and especially loved watching and going to his granddaughter’s sporting events.
Special Services: Full Military Rites will by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard and the Marine Corp League will be conducted at the Tippecanoe Memory Garden of West Lafayette, Indiana.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the Reynolds United Methodist Church of Reynolds, Indiana. Envelopes will be avaiable at the church.
Marriage Information: On July 2, 1967, in Brookston, Indiana, he married Shirley J. Kraay; she survives.
