Biographical Information: Charlie had lived in the Monticello, Indiana, area since 1952, coming from the Delphi, Indiana, area. He was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School of Delphi, Indiana. Charlie had worked at the old RCA Plant of Monticello, Indiana, for over thirty - one years and then went onto worked at the former White County Memorial Hospital of Monticello, Indiana, for thirty years. Charlie was a member of the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, and was a 4th Degree of the Knight of Columbus both of Monticello, Indiana. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #906, Fraternal Order of Eagles #2570, Sons of American Legion Post #81, and the VFW Men’s Auxiliary all of Monticello, Indiana. Charles was known as "The Barrel Man" having sold barrels for over forty years, and you could usually hear him on WMRS Radio Station every morning on the Trading Post. He was an avid square dancer. Charles was the last survivor of all his brothers and sisters.
Special Services: Rosary Service by the Knight of Columbus of Monticello, Indiana, will begin at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18, 2019, here at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to Our Lady of the Lakes Church of Monticello, Indiana, for Masses. Envelopes will be avaiable here at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On February 23, 1957, in Monticello, Indiana, he married Betty L. Eldridge; she passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 1999.
