Burial will take place: I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in rural Monticello, Indiana.
Visitation will be: 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.
Biographical Information: Ernie was raised in New Albany, Indiana, and attended New Albany High School of New Albany, Indiana. He enlisting in the United States Army and then went into the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. Ernie was a retired in 1976 as a Sergeant for the Monticello Police Department of Monticello, Indiana, having working for over twenty years. He was also a meat cutter at several grocery stores in Indiana, and worked for seventeen and a half years as an Engineer at the Lee Memorial Hospital of Fort Myers, Florida. Ernie was a member of the American Legion Post #81, Libanus Masonic Lodge #154 F.& A.M. both of Monticello, Indiana, and the Araba Shrine and Valley of Fort Myers Scottish Rite both of Fort Myers, Florida.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, followed by the Libanus Lodge #154 with Masonic Services will be conducted at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana, beginning at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Ju
