Biographical Information: Charlie had been in failing health for the last several years. He had lived in the Monticello, Indiana, area most all his life. Charlie was a United States Army Veteran, having served in both the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Era. He had served on the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, for numerous years. Charlie loved his God and was an active member of the former Calvary Baptist Church of Monticello, Indiana, drove the church bus picking up the kids for church, and was also a member of the American Legion Post #81 of Monticello, Indiana. He owned and operated the former Schafer Home Improvements of Monticello, Indiana, and drove a school bus for the North White School Corporation for several years. Charlie loved and enjoyed going to the USA Restaurant of Monticello, Indiana, and he also loved and enjoyed his model trains.
Special Services: Full MIlitary Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard will be conducted at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in rural Monticello, Indiana.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the Indiana Veterans Home of West Lafayette, Indiana. Envelopes will be avaiable here at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On November 27, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana, he married Juanita E. Biers; she passed away on June 21, 1990.
