Biographical Information: Joyce had lived in Wolcott, Indiana, all her life, and was a 1942 graduate of Wolcott High School of Wolcott, Indiana. She also graduated in 1946 from Purdue University of West Lafayette, Indiana. Joyce was a Kappa Alpha Theta while attending Purdue University. She was involved with George D. Dye and Son Lumberyard in Wolcott, Indiana, her entire life. Joyce also taught school at Gilboa and Wolcott High School of Wolcott, Indiana. Joyce was a loyal member of Meadow Lake Presbyterian church where she served as clerk of session for many years. She was also a member of the Wolcott Community Housing Board, Wolcott Community Library, and The Wolcott Progressive Club. She was a member of Tippecanoe Country Club and the Purdue President’s Council.
