Biographical Information: Jess was well known in the community for "Ashlock Cabinets" where he worked alongside his brother, Norwood, for many years. When he and Norwood were not hammering nails, you could find them on the golf course. Jess was a 1955 graduate of Fowler High School of Fowler, Indiana. He served in the United States Army as an MP at Fort Benning, Georgia, from 1955 to 1957. Jess attended the Zion Bethel Church of Monticello, Indiana.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be at 12:00 (noon), Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Zion Bethel Church, 415 S. Third Street. Monticello, Indiana, 47960.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the White County Food Pantry of Monticello, Indiana. Envelopes will be available here at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: His marriage of nearly 57 years was to Zula Brewster, on June 19, 1959, at the Monticello United Methodist Church of Monticello, Indiana; she passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016.
