Biographical Information: Charlie had lived in White County, Indiana, all his life and was a graduate of Wolcott High School of Wolcott, Indiana. He was a United States World War II Army Veteran and received two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart from injuries while serving in Germany. Charlie returned to the area where he farmed and raised hogs. Charlie, and his late wife, Mary Alice, had lived in Round Grove, Chalmers and Buffalo, Indiana, before moving to Monticello, Indiana, in 1992. He was a member of the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church of Monticello, Indiana. Charlie was a member of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans). He was a prior member of the North White School Board, the BZA (Board of Zoning Appeals), and loved attending business meetings for several local towns and White County. Charlie loved high school sports and events.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted at the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 543 S. Main Street, Monticello, Indiana, 47960.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church of Monticello, Indiana, White County Community Foundation, Pulaski Community Foundation, or the White County Food Pantry. Envelopes will be available here at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On February 15, 1947, in Reynolds, Indiana, he married Mary Alice Klink; she passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012.
