Visitation will be: Rosary Service will begin at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana, followed by visitation to 8:00 p.m.
Biographical Information: Rose was born in Buck Creek, Indiana. Then moved to Stockwell, Indiana, living there until the age of twelve, and then moved to Wolcott, Indiana, where she had lived for eighty-four years. She moved into the White Oak Health Campus of Monticello, Indiana, two years ago. Rose was the oldest of eleven children. She was a 1939 graduate of Wolcott High School of Wolcott, Indiana. Rose was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Remington, Indiana, and was also a member of the Rosary and Altar Society of the church. She was also a member of the St. Joseph Church of Reynolds, Indiana, and was a past president of the former Tippecanoe Country Club Ladies Golf Association of Monticello, Indiana. Rose and her late husband, Louis, were dairy farmers of Wolcott area from the beginning of their marriage. They spent many great times with all their family and also enjoyed happy hour at the Country Inn. Rose was very devout in her Faith and had a special devotion to the Sacred Heart, St. Therese, and the Rosary. She loved all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and was interested in all of their activities. The family wishes to give special thanks to Randy Bell for all the fish dinners, Carmen Anker for all the newsy notes, and all the staff at the White Oak Health Campus of Monticello, Indiana.
Special Services: Rosary Service will be at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given for Masses. Envelopes will be available here at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On October 12, 1940, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Remington, Indiana, she married Louis Mathew; he passed away on January 13, 2007.
