Biographical Information: Billie had lived in the Monticello, Indiana, area since 1985. She had lived in Hammond, Indiana, from 1930 to 1960, and Munster, Indiana, from 1960 to 1985. Billie graduated from Hammond High School of Hammond, Indiana. She also graduated Summa Cum Laude from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, with her degree in education. Bille was a school teacher for Hammond Public Schools, teaching at Jefferson Elementary School of Hammond, Indiana, for twenty - three years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, Indiana, Indiana Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, and was in several bridge clubs. Billie had worked at the Kelley’s Interiors of Monticello, Indiana, for several years. Everyone that knew and met her loved and adored her. Most importantly Billie, was a wonderful and amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and friend. Her loving presence will be dearly and greatly missed. Billie had a great sense of humor and was able to laugh at herself.

Marriage Information: On April 15, 1954, in Hammond, Indiana, she married George T. Smith; he passed away on September 19, 1986. Then on May 3, 1997, in Monticello, Indiana, she married James Clouse; he is deceased.
