Biographical Information: Dave had lived in the Monticello, Indiana, area since 1978, coming from Valparaiso, Indiana. He had worked for the former McGill / Emerson Manufacturing of Monticello, Indiana, as a Bearing Supervisor from May of 1963 to July of 2001, having worked for over thirty - five years and a member of the Thirty Year Club. Dave was a United States Navy Veteran serving on an Icebreaker in the North Pole. His ship was being called to form the blockade for the Cuban Missile Crisis, but was eventually not needed. Dave loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, playing with his grandchildren, and enjoying his friends in Florida.
Special Services: A Flag Presentation by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted prior to the start of the Celebration.
Memorial Information: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Altherr Nature Park of Monticello, Indiana. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: He married Bobbie on August 8, 2001, in the Smokey Mountains; she survives.
