Biographical Information: Tom had been in failing health for the last several months. He and his late wife, Pat, spent their summers in the Monticello, Indiana, community since 1964, before making Monticello, Indiana, their permanent home in 1989, coming from Munster, Indiana. Tom was a United States Korean Conflict Marine Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #81, VFW Post #2231, all of Monticello, Indiana. Tom was a retired union bricklayer from Inland Steel of East Chicago, Indiana. He was also a member of District Local #6 of Merrillville, Indiana.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemtery in rural Monticello, Indiana.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church of Monticello, Indiana. Envelopes will be available here at the funeral home and at the church.
Marriage Information: On August 8, 1951, at the St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Terre Haute, Indiana, he married Patricia Louise "Pat" Martin; she passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
