Burial will take place: Flag Presentation by the Monticello Fire Department followed by Twenty - One Gun Salute and playing taps by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery of rural Monticello, Indiana.
Visitation will be: 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2018, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.
Biographical Information: Bill had lived in the Monticello, Indiana, area all his life and was a 1947 graduate of Roosevelt High School of Monticello, Indiana. He then enlisted into the United States Army in 1951, and served until 1953 as a 1st Sgt. Bill retired in 1975 from the Monticello Fire Department after service for twenty years, eight of those years he was the fire chief. He later went on to doing handyman work and installed numerous garage doors in the Monticello, Indiana, area for several years. Bill was a member of the Monticello American Legion Post #81 of Monticello, Indiana.
Special Services: Flag Presentation by the Monticello Fire Depaetment, followed by Twenty - One Salute and Taps by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in rural Monticello, Indiana.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the White County Special Olympics, or to the Monticello Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On February 17, 1951, in Monticello, Indiana, he married O. May Barnett; she passed away on August 15, 1999.
