Biographical Information: Kris passed away very unexpectedly at his residence in Monticello. He had lived in the area all of his life and was a 1979 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. While Kris attended high school he was very active in basketball and drew cartoons for the high school newspaper. He continued his love of art by painting artwork for several local businesses. Kris also enjoyed drawing a small parrot for a number of years that he would always draw at the request of his sons - everywhere he visited he would leave his parrot behind. Kris enjoyed watersports and spending time on Lake Freeman and traveling to Lake Michigan with his family. Kris was also on a Tuesday night Monticello Bowling League. Kris was very competitive playing games and sports of all kinds, win or lose, for the love of the competition. He was also an avid Indianapolis Colts Fan - on game night would gather all of his friends and family to cook his famous chili. Kris led as a caretaker to his late father. Kris spent nearly every day checking in with his father before his passing and since then had taken the same role with his mother. His mother, Betty, enjoyed coffee and small talk with her son. On holidays, Kris would snap photos of Betty and send them to the different family members who were not always able to come home. Kris had worked at Regal (McGills) for over 20 years. Kris was a very hardworking man, who instilled his work ethic into each of his boys. Kris was very proud of the work he did and well respected by all those who worked with him. He was never seen without a smile on his face and was proud of all three of his boys.
