Biographical Information: Bill was raised in the Monticello, Indiana, area and was a 1949 graduate of Monticello High School of Monticello, Indiana. He was a United States Korean Conflict Army Veteran, and earned a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and Silver Star. Bill was a State Farm Agent in Lafayette / West Lafayette, Indiana, for over forty years. He enjoyed golf, helping neighbors with fix it projects, and woodworking. Bill went to Purdue University of West Lafayette, Indiana, for a year before entering the United States Army in 1951. After returning from the Korean Conflict, Bill went to Indiana University of Bloomington, Indiana, and received his degree in Business. He was a member of the Libanus Masonic Lodge #154 F. & A.M. of Monticello, Indiana, Scottish Rites and Murat Shrine, both of Indianapolis, Indiana. Bill has lived in Tavares, Florida, and Lafayette, Indiana.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the Disabled American Veterans Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
