Biographical Information: Dick attended Monon High School of Monon, Indiana. He had lived in Kentland, Indiana, for forty years, and wintered in Punta Gorda, Florida, from 1994 to 2016. Dick was a United States World War II Army MP Veteran. He had worked and retired from the former United Telephone Company of Monticello, Indiana, working for over thirty - five years. Dick was a member of the American Legion Post #81, and the AmVets Post #91, both of Monticello, Indiana. He loved and enjoyed singing karaoke, dancing, and mushroom hunting. Dick was a real "Chick Magnet."
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018.
Memorial Information: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Legion Post #81, or to the AmVets Post #91, both of Monticello, Indiana. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On January 26, 1957, in Shawneetown, Kentucky, he married Ella Ward: she survives.
