Biographical Information: Kate had been in failing health for the last several months. She has lived in the Idaville, Indiana, community since 2004, moving from Rensselaer, Indiana. Kate was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She had worked as a floor supervisor at the former G.C. Murphy’s Department Store in Indianapolis, Indiana, and also worked at the former Schumacher Electric in Rensselaer, Indiana, for several years. Katie was also a clerk for the United States Postal Service working at the Idaville Post Office in Idaville, Indiana, for several years and always had a smile on her face waiting on and taking care of everyone when they came in the post office. She enjoyed playing golf and was a former member of the Hazelton Country Club of Brook, Indiana. Kate and her late husband, Ray, enjoyed traveling the country roads on Sunday afternoons taking pictures of the amazing scenery. She was an amazing mom, grandma, and great grandma. Kate made the most amazing fudge and it could never be matched. She enjoyed watching all the cooking shows on TV and could create the most amazing meals. Kate enjoyed teaching her grandchildren on how to cook. She used to live on Lake Shafer and enjoyed lounging in her hammock. Kate never liked the water but would let her kids go in the water as long as they knew their limits on where to go.

Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the American Kidney Association or to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On October 13, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she married Paul Suhr; they later divorced. Then on December 26, 1989, in Wolcott, Indiana, she married Raymond W. "Ray" Allie; he passed away on June 4, 2004.
