Biographical Information: George was a 1949 graduate of the Delphi High School of Delphi, Indiana. He has been living in Monticello, Indiana, since 1987 and had lived in Delphi, Indiana, from 1955 to 1957, Lafayette, Indiana, from 1957 to 1959, Broadview, Illinois, from 1959 to 1960, Carol Stream, Illinois, from 1960 to 1965, Louisville, Kentucky, from 1965 to 1970, and Elmhurst, Illinois, from 1970 to 1987. He was a United States Air Force Staff Sargent serving during the Korean Conflict. George went on to get his Bachelor’s degree at Purdue University of West Lafayette. He was a retired Computer Manager for International Harvester ( NAVISTAR ) for over thirty years. George was a member of the Monticello Christian Church of Monticello, Indiana, where he served as an elder for several years. He was a past president of the Monticello Kiwanis Club and was also the treasurer for the SFLECC, both of Monticello, Indiana. He enjoyed working for H&R Block of Monticello, Indiana, as a Tax Preparer for fifteen years. George enjoyed spending time with his family and church friends.
Special Services: Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be at 12:00 (noon), Thursday, October 26, 2017, at the Monticello Christian Church, 105 Gordon Road, Monticello, Indiana, 47960.
