Biographical Information: Ted had been in failing health for the last several months. He was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, with a family of four sisters. Ted moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, following serving in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He met and married his wife, Nellie, after meeting her at Community Hospital of Indianapolis while working as an X-Ray Technician. In 1972, Ted and Nellie moved to Monticello, Indiana. Ted became involved in the Libanus Masonic Lodge #154 F. & A.M. of Monticello, Indiana, involved in the York Rite as a Knights Templar and the Scottish Rite. Ted also was an active member of the Pike Creek Church of the Brethren where he served on the board for many years. He deeply appreciated the beauty of the outdoors and enjoyed watching nature outside the window of his country home. Ted was an avid woodworker and enjoyed creating many pieces for family and friends. He and Nellie deeply enjoyed the frequent company of family and friends entertaining on the front porch drinking coffee and watching the river roll by. Ted was an ardent patriot, loyal friend, amazing father and mentor. His guidance, advice and encouragement will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Special Services: Masonic Services by the Brothers of the Libanus Masonic Lodge #154 F. & A.M. of Monticello, Indiana, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Pike Creek Church of the Brethren, 7047 E. 175 N., Monticello, Indiana, 47960.
