Biographical Information: Boyd had been in failing health for the last several months. He had lived in the rural Burnettsville, Indiana, area most all his life where he had farmed. Boyd was a 1947 graduate of Burnettsville High School of Burnettsville, Indiana. He started Midwest Pallet Company in rural Burnettsville, Indiana, in 1967, and continued running it until 2000 when he sold it to his sons, Steve and Mark. Boyd used to be a very active member of Bell Center Bible Church in rural Burnettsville, Indiana. He had served as an Elder, Deacon, Treasurer, and had also served as the Youth Leader. Boyd used to enjoy hiking in Arizona, rattle snake hunting, and bee keeping. He used to raise hogs and had the first confinement hog finishing floor in Indiana. Boyd was also a timber buyer and exported lumber to other countries.

Marriage Information: On November 27, 1948, at the Burnettsville Baptist Church Parsonage in Burnettsville, Indiana, he married N. Jean Barker; she passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2008.
